Travel Diaries with My 10-Month-Old – Yes, It’s Possible Mommies!

Planning a trip with a baby? 😅 I know, just the thought sounds like a full-on adventure, right? But trust me, it’s totally possible if done with the right prep and a little extra love. 💛
I still remember our trip from Mumbai to Alibaug when my little one was just 10 months old. My first thought? Will he be okay? What if he falls sick? How will I manage food?

But guess what? I did it… and how! 👏 So here I am, sharing every bit of it with you supermoms, just like I wish someone had shared with me!

🍚 Food First – My Homemade Hack!

You know how fussy babies can be with food, and as a mom, I just can’t compromise on what goes into my baby’s tummy. So, I did what we Indian mommies do best – planned ahead.
✅ I washed, soaked, and dry roasted moong dal – easy to digest and full of protein.
✅ Carried rice and a mix of dry nuts powder for added nutrition.
✅ Wherever I stayed, I politely requested access to the hotel kitchen (trust me, most places do help). I would quickly cook his khichdi or daal chawal myself and feed him warm, fresh food. 💪
No packaged stuff, no ready-to-eat jars – just good homemade comfort even while travelling. 👶💕

🧳 Packing Like a Pro – Overprepared? Nope, Just Smart

Let me tell you, babies spoil clothes like a magician – one minute clean, next minute, full meal on their chest. So I packed:
👕 Lots of spare clothes (you’ll thank yourself later)
🧦 Socks, mittens, sweaters (because weather can get tricky)
🧴 Baby rash cream, powder, moisturizer – the full skin-care gang
💊 All essential medicines, and that one thermometer (yes, always carry that)
🎒 His favorite toys – because cranky babies + boring journeys = disaster
🍼 Extra bottles, bibs, tissues, and of course his handy pram – it was a blessing! He loved seeing the world from there while we roamed around. 🌍💖

🛏️ Comfort & Sleep – Always Priority

I always made sure that wherever we stayed, it was clean, safe, and not too noisy.
🔸 I carried a soft blanket and his favorite pillow so he felt at home.
🔸 If he slept well, the day went 10x smoother. Sleep is everything, mommies!

💡 Few Travel Tips from One Mommy to Another:

🚗 If you’re traveling by car, make pit stops every 2–3 hours. Babies need to stretch and breathe fresh air too.
🕐 Avoid overplanning. Infants don’t go by schedule, they follow moods 😄
🍲 Carry a few ready-to-mix dry meal powders just in case. (Emergency backup is always needed!)
📱 Don’t forget to keep a playlist of lullabies or white noise on your phone. It works wonders during long rides or new places. 🎶

🌈 And You Know What?

That trip became one of our most memorable moments. Not just because we visited a new place, but because I realized something big – we moms can do anything when it comes to our babies. 💪💗

So go ahead, don’t cancel that trip because you have a baby. Just plan smart, pack with heart, and create memories that’ll make you smile forever.
