Palak Moong Soup – Power-Packed Green Love

green soup bowl with spoon

Monsoon means extra care for immunity. And what better than Palak + Moong dal combo to boost your baby’s strength? I started this early for my son, and it still remains one of our favorite rainy-day comfort meals.

👶 Best for: 8 months+
🥬 Key Ingredients: Moong dal, spinach, turmeric
Time to prepare: 15-20 minutes
💪 Good for: Iron, protein, immunity boost

📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp yellow moong dal 🌼
  • A small bunch of palak / spinach leaves 🥬
  • 1 pinch turmeric powder ✨
  • 1 pinch jeera powder 🌿
  • ½ tsp ghee 🧈
  • 1 cup water 💧

🧑‍🍳 How I make it:

  1. Pressure cook moong dal, spinach, turmeric, and water for 3-4 whistles.
  2. Blend everything to a smooth puree.
  3. Boil once again, add a pinch of jeera powder and ghee.
  4. Serve warm in a bowl or small cup.

💡 Mommy Tip:

Strain it once if your baby is new to solids. This soup is not only tummy-friendly but also builds strength during the rainy season.
