Uff… rains! Such a relief from the scorching heat, right? But just like we bring out our umbrellas and raincoats, viral infections also seem to pop out with full energy during monsoon season. 🙈

Being a mommy myself, I know how stressful it gets when your little one starts sneezing, coughing, or running a fever. And the worst part? These viral bugs spread like gossip in a kitty party! 😅

So let’s sit down for a mommy-to-mommy chat. Here’s everything I’ve learned from my own experience and other moms around me.

🌡️ Common Viral Infections in Monsoon (Yes, These Monsters!)

🔹 Flu / Cold & Cough – Starts with a harmless sneeze and suddenly your child’s nose becomes a waterfall!
🔹 Viral Fever – That sudden spike in temperature is enough to shake us up.
🔹 Stomach Infections – Thanks to all the dampness and outside food temptations.
🔹 Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease – I didn’t even know this existed until I saw those tiny rashes on my son’s feet.
🔹 Conjunctivitis (Eye Flu) – Pink eyes and tears – not the cute kind. 😓

🛡️ My Mommy Hacks to Beat the Monsoon Viruses

Boost Immunity the Natural Way – Tulsi water, haldi milk, dry fruits, and soups are my go-to.
Hand Wash is a Must – Especially after playing outside or using school washrooms.
Keep Feet Dry – I always keep an extra pair of socks & slippers ready.
Say No to Street Food (Yes, even if they throw tantrums 🙃)
Warm Clothes Even If It’s Not Cold – Just to avoid that sneaky breeze.
Clean House Corners – Because mosquitoes love stagnant water!

🧘‍♀️ Don’t Panic, Just Be Prepared

I’ve had sleepless nights worrying about simple colds turning into something bigger. But slowly, I realized… the key is being alert, not anxious.

Every child is different. Some have stronger immunity, some are more sensitive. And that’s okay. Just observe your child’s cues. If that cough doesn’t sound right or fever isn’t going down – visit your doc immediately.
